Sept 15 - 21, 2025 - All showtimes have $15 and under options

"For Colored Boyz," The Underground Theatre, Base Camp Studio, Downtown Seattle

FOR COLORED BOYZ on the verge of a nervous breakdown/ when freedom ain’t enuff is an unabashed display of blackness that's unapologetic and speaks to the human heart from a black man's perspective. Originally written after the death of Michael Brown (August 9, 2014), this is a love letter to the black man in all his glory, vulnerability, psychosis, and heartbreak. This piece brings social issues to the stage and addresses issues within the black community that is taboo. Afro-centric rhythms and dance are the pulse of this piece and must be handled delicately.

FOR COLORED BOYZ resonates with its audiences no matter their ethnicity or demographic; there is a common thread that brings us all together when sitting in the dark watching this show; to go forth with understanding and love.

Standing Room tickets available online for $10.24.  Will be converted to seats if seats available.   Click here for ticket, showtimes, and more info.

"Exotic Deadly or the MSG Play," Pork-Filled Productions, Theatre Off Jackson, International District

It’s 1999, and Ami is an awkward, Japanese American high school girl, just trying to stay as invisible as possible. But her world comes crashing down with a terrible discovery: her family is responsible for manufacturing MSG, the poison spice getting all the kids hooked. Meanwhile, a mysterious new girl arrives from Japan. Her name? Exotic Deadly and she’s not playing by the rules. Who… or what is she? This whimsical, time-traveling adventure is a riotous romp through teenage crushes, family secrets, and female power as Ami realizes what she’s capable of, if she would just stop being invisible.

Exotic Deadly is rated PG-14 for wild teen girl crushes, occasional profanity, potential time travel whiplash and culinary overstimulation.

"Yaga," DACHA, 12th Avenue Arts,  Capitol Hill

In-over-his-head detective Rapp finds himself in an isolated, college town asking what the disappearance of a young heir to a yogurt empire has to do with a random folktale about an old witch. Matched by an apprehensive local sheriff, a university professor with a taste for younger men, and a whole cast of curious characters, the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga twists into a new labyrinth of secret lives, ancient magic, and multiple suspects in Kat Sandler’s Yaga.

Sandler’s script is thrilling, sexy, and genre defying, and Dacha’s production, virtuosic in its theatricality, is a tour-de-force by three actors. As you enter Baba Yaga’s woods, you’ll soon realize that this is not a typical night at the theater. But then again Baba Yaga is not your typical witch. She will lure you in and keep you guessing until the bitter end. So turn your back to the woods, avoid spoilers at all costs, and keep your wits about you.
