Burien Actor's Theater
Burien
Burien Actor's Theater is a theater organization that puts on 4-5 plays in a normal season, finishing with a free summer play that tours parks through the South End. Indoor performances are currently staged at Kennedy Catholic High School while they are building a new location in downtown Burien.
In Their Words
Burien Actor's Theater (BAT) produce high-quality and amazing live theater that is inclusive, affordable, and interesting for South King County. To the extent we have one, our nitch is to do exciting new works that tell the story of our shared humanity. We take risks to take our audience to places they would not otherwise go.

Financially Accessible Performances
Every year, BAT puts on a free summer production, usually a comedy, that tours parks within South King County. This year's offering is "Fallen Angels," by Noel Coward. Click Here for show times and locations.
Each of BAT's productions invites guests to watch their final dress rehearsal for free. For an invitation, please email BAT at info@BATtheatre.org
BAT also offers discounted tickets for the first weekend of each of their indoor shows. All tickets to the first Saturday performance of each run are $13, and the first Sunday of each run are $7. For all shows, they also have a policy that if seats are available, they will not turn anyone away due to lack of funds.
BAT also does occasional ticket giveaways on social media, and donates tickets to local charities regularly auctions and fundraisers.
This is the planned layout for the 200-300 seat performing and visual arts venue that BAT is working to build near the Burien Transit Center in downtown Burien. Click this link for more info.
Volunteers
BAT uses volunteers mostly for ushering, but also for building, painting, and loading and unloading sets, among other responsibilities. Timing of volunteer opportunities can be sporadic, but the need is expected to increase as BAT prepares for the new venue they are currently working to build. No uniforms or annual fees are required.
The volunteer onboarding process involves a short interview to assess the participant's interest and obtain their contact information. Volunteers receive free tickets to performances.
