June 9 - 15, 2025- All showtimes have $15 and under options

"The Distillery New Works Festival," Seattle Public Theatre, Green Lake

The Distillery New Works Festival is a weekend-long celebration of emerging theater. It features exciting new plays from local and national playwrights. The readings conclude with a discussion of the play, giving writers the chance to receive feedback from Seattle audiences (like YOU!) and providing a platform to help shape new works in progress.

Tickets available to all shows starting at $10.   Click here for tickets, show times, and more info.

"Creation Lab Performances," Seattle Opera, The Opera Center, Belltown

Seattle Opera seeks to cultivate the next generation of opera composers and librettists in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho through our Creation Lab. Launched in 2020, the Jane Lang Davis Creation Lab presents new operas by local composers and librettists that tell diverse stories.

Composers, songwriters, librettists, and lyricists of all genres are encouraged to apply to create new operas that tell compelling, resonant stories through vocal music. Selected creators develop 20-minute operas throughout the season that are presented in a concert format for a public audience in Tagney Jones Hall at the Opera Center. Each opera undergoes a development process that includes a table reading, music workshop, and rehearsal prior to the public performance. The creators receive support from professional composers and librettists as they develop their work.

Tickets to all performances are Pay What You Wish.   Click here for tickets and more info.

"Illusion," Seattle Central College, Erickson Theatre Off Broadway, Capitol Hill

The Illusion is theatre at its most delightful! Entertaining, witty, fast-paced, and provocative, Tony Kushner’s adaptation of Pierre Corneille’s 17th century comedy revels in the magic which unites the alchemist’s world with our own. Stupefied as we all are by the never-ending spectacle which has come to dominate our daily lives, we often fail to see that all power is merely a kind of performance. Theatre is the playful logic of that power, and if you feel like you’ve been needing a reminder of, or initiation to, its inimitable magic, then come participate in The Illusion, and be sated.

General Admission tickets are $10.   Click here for tickets and more info.

"Alice in Arabialand," Annex Theatre, Capitol Hill

Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice on an adventure to “Arabialand” where she will meet queens, challenge djinns, and learn from mystics. As Alice journeys through the queer underground, she learns more about the impact of decades of colonialism and imperialism on the region. A magical realism fusion of Lewis Carroll’s novel and Arab folklore, Alice in Arabialand will delight and move those familiar with and new to queer life in the Middle East.

Sliding Scale tickets start at $5.   Click here for tickets, showtimes, and more info.

"The Foolish Bard," Studio East, Studio East - Houghton Village, Kirkland

Join us for an exploration of Shakespeare's best-known fools, hilarious mistsaken identities, larger-than-life clowns, and witty word banter! Lean into the comedy that has lasted centuries!

This experience will include light food and beverages.

There is general seating and reserved table seating avaliable for purchase.

General seating available for $10.   Click here for tickets, show times, and more info.
